First Aid course - people learning how to give mouth to mouth to a dummy

You can undertake a free one day 'Emergency FIrst Aid at Work' qualification, fully accredited. This will give you the skills to be able to save a life!!

 

Introduction to British Sign Language and Deaf Awareness

Learn basic British Sign Language and Deaf Awareness through our half day courses. 
Suitable for people who want to learn basic language skills to communicate simple conversations with Deaf people. 

 

Bee Keeping

Did you know that we have honey bees at the College?

The Students' Union owns 3 hives on the third floor balcony, at the Learning Exchange. If you would like to learn how to look after the bees and be part of taking care of them, then you can join a 15 week Lantra Level 1 Bee Keeping course. This is run in parnership with Blackburne House, as part of their lottery funded 'BEE You' Project. It is open to 17 - 24 year olds and runs between February and May.
